He was born in 27/03/53 in Tokio.

It’s a guitarist, productor and compositor ​japanese. He was born to a Chinese father and ​Japanese mother.

He played in two bands in 1972, Flied Egg

and after in 1972, Sadistic Mika band.

In 1976 Takanaka released the first album called Seychelles.

In the 70s and 80s he released more than of 20 albums supported by Kitty Records, after by EMI Music Japan. He stayed in EMI since 1984 until 2000.

In the 2000 he opened his own record label called Lagoon Records.

Takanaka is recognized for his very rare guitars, the surf guitar, the train guitar and the blow-up doll guitar.

The genres he plays are: Jazz fusion, City Pop, jazz-funk, funk and funk soul, which has a very Takanaka style.
